Knauf designs and manufacturers a comprehensive range of metal framing components for use with our wall and ceiling systems. The Knauf metal framing range is manufactured in our world class national production facility in Beenleigh, Brisbane. All metal components are designed and manufactured in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and the requirements of the BCA (Building Code of Australia).
Internal steel stud walls are used in commercial and high-rise applications such as office buildings and apartment blocks. They are light weight, quick to install, and the components are easy to deliver on site.
The Knauf Metal Facade System was developed to provide an attractive express joint system for 9mm CFC boards.
Featuring a recessed Knauf 120mm Top Hat which allows for the ideal compression of an EPDM Closed Cell adhesive sealing tape and a patented Backing Strip, the system has been CSIRO tested with various configurations and plasterboard types.
These systems use clips and hangers in order to suspend a grid of Knauf Furring Channel and Knauf Top Cross Rails below a supporting structure which can then be sheeted with many types and multiple layers of Knauf plasterboard or acoustic ceiling lining. This allows the designer to bring the ceiling level down to the required height and provides space in the ceiling cavity for services such as air-conditioning.
Knauf offers a wide range of quality steel plaster finishing sections to suit various applications. Knauf bead and angle varieties have been designed to meet a variety of common and specified requirements and applications such as rendered corners, archways, shadowlines and expansion joints.
Knauf InterHome is a separating wall system suitable for adjoining residential dwellings such as duplexes or townhouses. Knauf InterHome has been designed to satisfy the fire safety and sound insulation requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) for separating walls.
The Knauf InterHome System includes two proprietary metal components; the H-Stud and the Knauf InterHome Aluminium Clip. The Knauf InterHome Aluminium Clip is an integral part of the InterHome System. Installed to support the central fire barrier, it must be used to maintain the fire performance of the system.
Knauf offers a range of access panels including slimline, lightweight steel doors in standard and special size panels to suit individual project requirements.
These access panels have a sturdy lightweight steel slimline frame, concealed hinges and budget lock. They are finished in a grey etch primer and ready to paint. Available with a flanged surround or set bead surround for a flush set finish, there are five standard sizes to choose from. Each panel is individually packaged.
Knauf Acoustic Resilient Mount Wall Systems are designed to work in unison with our broader metal framing system products. Our comprehensive range of Knauf Acoustic Resilient Mounts have been designed, manufactured and tested to comply with the BCA (Building Code of Australia).
